Step back in time and enjoy a Pure Michigan experience when you visit Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery. Spanning 155 acres, Brys Estate is the largest contiguous winery estate on the Old Mission Peninsula. Opened in 2005, they are a family-run business that crafts wines from 53,000 vines planted less than a mile from Lake Michigan. The Brys experience includes an old-world tasting room, outdoor deck with panoramic views of their expansive vineyard and East Grand Traverse Bay, a Private Guesthouse offering seasonal overnight accommodations, and a serene Secret Garden where 6,000 lavender plants bloom alongside grapes and apple trees. 

Walter and Eileen Brys, proprietors of Brys Estate, planted the first of 53,000 vines in 2001 and opened the doors of their tasting room in 2005. Their 44-acre vineyard is part of the 155 acres that makes up Brys Estate. Today there are eight different varietals planted; Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, and Gewürztraminer. Director of Winemaking & Estate Manager, Coenraad Stassen, has earned over 500 medals in national and international wine competitions for Brys Estate since joining Walt and Eileen in 2007. Coenraad has a strong focus on producing high-quality dry reds and has a crisp, clean approach in producing whites. His focus is to be able to make world recognized wines from 100% estate grown Old Mission Peninsula AVA vinifera grapes from the Brys Estate vineyards.

Signature Red Reserve

Brut style sparkling wine made with a blend of Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Merlot, Hints of raspberry and cherry on the nose with a soft, fruit-forward mid-palate. A well-balanced acidity carries the fruit to the finish.

Beautiful tropical aromas of starfruit and papaya on the nose. Creamy citrus flavors on the mid-palate and well-balanced acidity make this a delicious meal-friendly wine. Made without the influence of oak, this wine showcases the elegance and complexity of the Chardonnay varietal.

Naked Chardonnay Reserve

German-style, off-dry. Hint of spiciness with flavors of lychee, rose petals, and peach. 100% estate grown on Old Mission Peninsula

Gewürztraminer Reserve

Rich and complex with cherry and dark berry flavors; offering a luscious mouthfeel with hints of tobacco leaf.

Cabernet Franc Reserve

This wine boasts black cherry, white pepper, and spice on the nose. The palate is viscous and luscious with a long memorable finish of fruit, spice, and well-integrated French oak. Pinot Noir Reserve

Beautiful tropical aromas, with notes of ripe grapefruit, pineapple, and peaches. Great balance with soft acidity on the finish. A 50/50 blend of Riesling and Pinot Gris.

Riesling/Gris

Beautiful stone fruit aromatics of white peach and apricot, with a soft and luscious mouthfeel and a slight tropical finish. 

Dry Riesling Reserve

This well-balanced Riesling shows beautiful pear, peach, and apricot aromatics. The mid-palate shows an array of stone fruits and is soft and viscous with slight citrus tones on the finish.
